Brief introduction to the testing standard of melamine paper

by:I.DECOR     2022-04-16

Do you know the testing standards for melamine paper? The following melamine impregnated paper will give you a detailed introduction.

I. Appearance quality inspection method
1. The height of the inspection table is about 700mm
2. The lighting source is 40W Three fluorescent lamps, the distance between the lamps is about 400mm, the length of the lamps is parallel to the length of the board, the height of the lamps from the inspection table is about 2m, and the natural light should not affect the inspection.
3. The inspector should have normal vision (or corrected vision), and inspect the plates one by one at both ends of the board length, with a viewing distance of 0.5m-1.5m and a viewing angle of 30°-90°.
2 Specific content
1 Dry or wet flowers are allowed within 5 mm of the front side from the edge of the board; the total area of u200bu200bdry or wet flowers on the back does not exceed 5% of the board surface.
2 3 mm2-30 mm2 of any 1 m2 board surface on the front side is allowed to have 1 stain; 5 mm2-30mm2 of any 1 m2 board surface on the back side is allowed to have 3 stains.
3 2 scratches with a length of ≤100 mm in any 1 m2 board on the front are allowed, and it is not allowed to affect the decorative layer; 4 scratches with a length of ≤200 mm in any 1 m2 board on the back are allowed. It is not allowed to affect the decorative layer.
4 No indentation is allowed on the front side; 1 spot within 20 mm2-50 mm2 of any 1 m2 board surface on the back side is allowed.
5 The front and back sides are not allowed to have obvious see-through bottom; the width must not exceed 10mm, and only one side of the cardboard is allowed to be dislocated; the total area of u200bu200bpores on the surface does not exceed 3% of the board surface.
6 No obvious color mismatch or uneven gloss is allowed on the front and back.
7 No bubbling is allowed on the front side; 1 bubble ≤10 mm2 is allowed on any 1 m2 board surface on the reverse side.
8 The front and back sides of ≤100 mm are allowed to have 1 tear per sheet.
9 Partial shortage of paper is not allowed on the front side; 1/sheet is allowed for partial shortage of paper on the back side ≤10 mm2.
10 The front side is not allowed to have a chipped edge; the reverse side is allowed to have a chipped edge of ≤3 mm.
11. The front and back sides are allowed to have serious defects such as cracks, delamination, edge and corner defects that affect the use and decorative effect.
12. The dimensional deviation of length and width shall not exceed ±2 mm, and the thickness deviation shall not exceed ±0.3 mm.
13. The deviation of verticality shall not exceed 1 mm/m, and the deviation of edge right angle shall not exceed 1 mm/m.
14 The warpage degree of thickness 3 mm-12 mm shall not exceed 0.5%; the warpage degree of thickness greater than 12 mm shall not exceed 0.3%.
15 The density of the board is: 690-800kg/m3.
16 Water swelling rate: ≤8.0%;
17 Water content: 3.0-10.0%
18 Static bending strength: thickness≤13mm ≥22.0MPa; thickness>13-20 mm ≥ 20.0MPa; thickness>20-25 mm ≥18.0MPa; thickness 25>mm ≥17.0MPa.
19 Internal bonding strength: Thickness≤13mm ≥0.55MPa; Thickness>13-20 mm ≥0.45MPa; Thickness>20-25 mm ≥0.45MPa; Thickness 25>mm ≥0.45MPa.
20 Screw-holding force (board surface): ≥1000N.
21 The surface is resistant to cold and heat cycles: no cracks, no bubbles.
22 Surface scratch resistance: ≥1.5N surface without continuous scratches in the whole circle.
23 Surface wear resistance: (1) Wear value: ≤80 (mg/100r) (2) Surface pattern: More than 50% of the pattern should be retained after grinding for 100 r.
24 Surface dry heat resistance: no cracks, no bubbles.
25 Formaldehyde emission (climate chamber method E1): ≤0.12 mg/m3.
The above is the test standard for melamine paper introduced to you. You can learn more about it and hope it can help you.
